Kugelstadt after Allied bombing

Kugelstadt is a fictional town in Germany bombed by the Allies around March 1943. During the events of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, B.J. Blazkowicz was sent there to find documents about the "Venom Gun", to help in the safe extraction of a deserting Nazi scientist, and to infiltrate the Secret Weapons Facility there. In game it is also known as the "City of Bullets".

Trivia

• This city is likely a reference to the Bavarian city of Schweinfurt, which was the target of heavy Allied bombing through 1943. The primary targets of these raids were the city's ball bearing factories, which were crucial to the production of Nazi aircraft. Ball bearings are called "Kugellager" in German, hence "Kugelstadt" or "city of balls" (it can also be translated to "city of bullets" as noted in-game).
