Headquarters

Headquarters is the third part of the Cursed Sands mission found only in console ports of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Objectives

• Contact Agent One by radio.
• Infiltrate the Nazi Headquarters.
• Obtain Nazi Documents.

Secret Areas

There are three Secret Areas on this level:

• 1- Look for a German entering a wine cellar right after starting the level. Inside, between two huge wine barrels, is a destructible wooden panel. Behind this is a 1938 Latour and a pack of 8 7.92mm rounds.

• 2- In the courtyard where the two trucks are parked, a well with a breakable wooden cover contains a shelf with two bars of gold.

• 3- Inside the German HQ building, there is a Nazi recruiting poster- written in Dutch, curiously- that slides to the right to reveal a lever. The lever then lifts a section of the floor, to reveal a secret compartment with two hidden bars of gold inside.

Behind the Scenes

• Major Gerhard Wechsler, commander of the German Army detachment sent to Ras el-Hadid, is presumably the officer in the room with the Nazi Documents.
