Characteristics

This section is needed but has not been written yet. You can help the Wolfenstein Wiki by writing it.
|
Location
It is first obtained on the first level of Dark Secret. It's in Kessler's house, on a table, later on can be obtained from the hands of enemies or found in secret areas.
Notes
- This gun uses 7.92mm ammunition and has a 10 round magazine with a maximum reserve supply of 200 rounds.
- A version without the scope also exist, as a separate weapon, they share the same ammo, you cannot use unscoped version if you have a scoped one, however.
- For some reason, simply looking through the scope increases damage almost three-fold (55 hit points vs 20).
- It doesn't have visible crosshairs when not zoomed in.
Behind the scenes
- Even though it is not specified in-game, it is reasonable to assume that this is a Karabiner 98 Kurz. The kar98k was a bolt action rifle manufactured by Mauser, and the primary German service rifle until the end of World War II in 1945.
- The Kar98k's true capacity is 5 rounds.
- The scope is based on real life ZF41 scope.
- Bolt action is not visible in this game.
Appearances
The Sniper scope appears in Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
